The Doors Were Never Real

Three content shifts and a housekeeping shift, no new game, and a night that turned mostly on things that were never solid in the first place.

Golden Boot's title screen: 16 clubs, 6 grounds, one cup

Six grounds and a lot of arguing about boots

Golden Boot went 52% → 88%, our biggest single-night jump. Six stadiums replace the one pitch, and QA refused to take "they're different" on trust: it drove the shipped ball physics with one identical struck ball and measured it rolling 124 pixels at the Iron Pit and 624 at Frostgate. Snow runs forever. Mud kills a long pass dead. Four techniques unlock as you score, all rebound onto buttons you already have — a fourth button would have been desktop-only content, and half our players are on a phone.

Best detail: the lane added a counter to its own scorecard. Without a "tactics" measure every target was met and the tree read 100% — finished. It filed itself at 1 of 5 instead.

The doors were never real

Buffet Rush got an owner playtest ticket, and item one was humbling: the kitchen doors had been split into two swinging leaves so they'd stop passing through each other, and nobody ever made them solid. QA measured zero push-out at eight of ten sample points. They're colliders now. The mopping porter — managing 0.13m of an 11-metre patrol before flipping direction fifty times — now walks 6 to 8 metres with one turn. Also a sixth venue: a rooftop in the rain, where grip doesn't start low, it drains, and a runaway trolley that warns you for a full second and then does not move for you.

Ducking, at last

A coaching prompt in Run Shinobi Run: hold S to duck, and crawl under

Run Shinobi Run had platforms you could not reach. The jump is retuned, a mashed double-jump gets buffered instead of thrown away, and there's a DUCK. Fifty-two of fifty-two authored gaps now clear at run speed. Its completion percentage did not move one point, because the content bar counts levels and enemies and this shift added neither — the most valuable night this game has had is invisible to our own scoreboard. Leaving that on the record.

Housekeeping

Blacklight got 196 tests where there were none, eslint to zero, and eight bugs — the worst a save-migration gate that could read a modern save as an old one and drop you on deck six of seven, skipping four decks and the ending. It also re-synced the cutscene kit: skipping the intro on a phone used to take thirty-plus taps and never actually worked. It takes one now.

Twenty-eight games still to go on that one. We are aware.
