The horizon stopped lying, and the track now throws ion spray, heat and crash debris — the game's first particles.

  • Fixed the backdrop being centred on the wrong place, so circuits that run far from the origin no longer drift against their own sky.
  • Fixed the camera roll being counted twice, which was tilting Orbital's horizon by about 35 degrees.
  • A 1200-particle system: ion drift spray that grows with slip and chain, heat off the repulsors, crash bursts that differ depending on whether you smashed a barrier or grazed it, launch bursts and landing dust.
  • Your chain is visible now — trim and thruster colour, spray intensity and a vignette in the chain's colour — and the shake is about three times what it was and now works in the camera's own axes.
  • Speed streaks and a chromatic edge while boosting.
  • A glow pass with a speed effect, and the seam along the edge tubes closed.
  • Fixed a shake from a previous game-over leaking into the start of the next race.
  • Track data, lane windows and the ghost are untouched — lap times are unaffected.

Driftwave gets real launch ramps, two new road hazards, and boost you pick up off the track.

  • Ramps are now real. Line up, hit the deck and the car genuinely leaves the road — hold it straight through the air and you land clean for a chain step and a slug of boost; land sideways and you will pay for it in speed.
  • Boost is now something you collect. Glowing boost cells sit on every circuit, just off the fastest line, and come back every lap. Grabbing one fills a whole charge.
  • The boost meter now counts charges instead of filling a bar, so you can see at a glance how many boosts you have left and when you are about to run dry. Drifting still charges it, and it still bleeds away if you hoard it.
  • Two new hazards to read: slick patches that make the tail step out (but charge your boost faster if you are brave enough to drift on them), and gusting cross-winds that push you off your line right when you need it most.
  • Barriers now look like what they are. They stand tall with warning beacons instead of sitting low and flat, so you will never mistake one for something you can jump.

Two new circuits, a fourth hovercar, and a fix for the disappearing canyon road.

  • Static Canyon no longer sinks into the ground — the road and your car stay visible for the whole lap.
  • The orange hazard blocks now sit flat on the tarmac instead of tilting nose-down like broken ramps. They wear warning chevrons and a glowing top rail so you can pick your lane early. They are obstacles to dodge, not ramps to jump.
  • Two new circuits join the campaign: Tidal Docks, the tightest, most technical road in the game, and Solar Spire, a long, fast finale that climbs above the clouds.
  • New hovercar, the Revenant, unlocked by clearing Orbital Ring. It plays by different rules: every clean drift chain pays out an instant slug of boost, and scraping a wall costs you speed but not your chain — though its meter drains twice as fast, so spend it.
  • Every medal time and the race clock have been retuned from real measured runs. Golds now take genuine drift chaining, and running into walls can actually run you out of time.
  • Roads now show their lane markings and centre line, and each hovercar has its own distinct shape instead of a shared body in different colours.

Fixed a bug where the car visually leaned the wrong way when steering, and added mirror versions of all three circuits.

  • Fixed a bug where the car's on-screen turning and the chase camera leaned opposite to the direction you were actually steering — turning left now visibly turns and banks left, and turning right visibly turns and banks right.
  • Added a Mirror variant of each circuit — Grid City, Static Canyon, and Orbital Ring — a left-right flipped version of the same track for a fresh line through familiar corners.
  • Mirror circuits unlock automatically once you clear the original circuit, and show up right underneath it on the Circuit Select screen.
  • Mirror circuits are fully playable in both Campaign and Time Trial modes, with their own best times and medals.
