Harry finally has an opinion about everything you click — and if you chat up the lamppost, it flickers.
- Harry now answers back properly. Clicking something that goes nowhere used to give you one of five flat sentences; he now has a whole spoken repertoire per action, shuffled so you hear all of it before anything comes round again.
- The "Praat" action works on the scenery, not just on people. Forty-seven objects across all eight locations get a full Harry charm offensive — the lamppost, the poster, the pier glass, the jukebox, the dartboard, the chest freezer in the night shop, the benches on the last tram home.
- Try to use the wrong thing on the wrong object and Harry says something worth hearing about it, instead of the same sentence every single time.
- Charm the lamppost on the street corner and see what happens. It is the one thing in Den Haag that reacts to him.
- Every new line is spoken aloud in Harry's own Haags, like the rest of the game — 140 new voiced lines in all.

Every interior gets a real key light with shadows, and the thing under your cursor now outlines itself instead of leaving you guessing.
- Each interior has one shadow-casting key light, so pendant lamps throw a pool of light and objects have contact shadows under them.
- Whatever you are hovering over is outlined, cleanly, and the outline is suppressed during cutscenes and dialogue so it never gets in the way of a scene.
- Steam, smoke and coffee vapour are soft drifting puffs rather than the translucent boxes standing in for them, and dust motes hang in the pendant light.
- A restrained glow over the bright things, with the tone mapping moved to the very end of the pipeline so dawn on the rooftop looks exactly as it did.
- Things that are meant to be off are verified dark — the unplugged jukebox, the dead neon, the unlit bulbs.
- Obstacles, hotspots and every puzzle state are untouched.

Chapter three folds back into the street: the perfect rooftop dawn now breaks on a bottle of milk, and the only thing standing between Harry and it is a cat.
- The rooftop has a new final step. Blanket, coffee and fairy lights are no longer enough — she doesn't drink her coffee black, and there is no milk on a roof.
- The milk is three rooms down, in the café's delivery, which has stood on the kerb since eight o'clock because nobody dared move the cat asleep on top of it.
- Harry's charm offensive gets its first total, absolute failure. The cat does not even open one eye. What works instead is picking her up, taking eight claws in the sleeve, and carrying her across the pavement to somewhere warmer.
- The barman finally has something useful to say, if you go and ask him.
- Forty-six new fully voiced lines in the game's Hague accent, all with subtitles.
- And the cat curled on the warm manhole at four in the morning is now there because you put her there.

Chapter two no longer ends where it starts — the night sends Harry back down through the cafe, the street and the chemist's, and the shop's forgotten regular turns out to be the puzzle.
- The candle, the bubbly and the record are no longer enough. With the room finally right, the lady mentions — as kindly as it can be put — that Harry has spent the evening hanging in a bin and carrying sixteen crates of beer, and that up here, with a candle lit, it rather shows.
- There is a new mirror in the boudoir, and it will tell you the truth if you lean close enough.
- The fix is three rooms downstairs, back out into the street and into the chemist's you bought her perfume in — now ten minutes from closing, with half its lights already off.
- Harry is broke, so the chemist names a different price: get the shabby regular who has shuffled around that shop all game out of the door before closing time.
- Talk to him and the charm offensive finally works — on entirely the wrong man, for entirely the wrong reason, and Harry comes out of it smelling considerably worse than he went in.
- Every one of the fifty-one new lines is fully voiced in Haags, from the lady's opening question to the last thing the chemist says to you.

Harry's nacht is daarmee grotendeels gesproken.

Every chapter now flows into the next as a proper scene — the record runs out, she leads Harry up the stairs herself, and the roof hatch swings open on a city full of startled pigeons.
- The end of chapter 1 is no longer a camera pan: the record actually runs out, the dance comes apart, and the lady walks off her barstool and up the staircase while the barman calls after you and the neon goes dark behind you.
- Upstairs she now walks into her own boudoir ahead of you and sits down on the chaise exactly when she says she is going to.
- Leaving the boudoir for the roof, she crosses to the ladder and shoves the ceiling hatch aside herself — the night sky drops down the rungs and you climb out after her, straight into two very unimpressed pigeons.
- Three new sounds for those moments: a record running out into its run-out groove, a stiff hatch being forced open, and wings clattering off a rooftop parapet.
- Ninety-six more lines of dialogue are now spoken aloud in the Haags accent. Chapters 1, 2 and 3 and the whole night shop are voiced from beginning to end.
- A lamp now burns over the café staircase, so you can actually see her climb it.
1 August 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 5
The cafe you started the night in has re-opened at ten past four — chairs on the tables, the barman asleep over his own taps, and one way up that you have to earn.
- A new room: cafe De Scheve Indiaan after closing time. Same bar, same portrait on the wall, same tiled floor — but the neon is dead, the jukebox is unplugged, the till is open and empty, and there is exactly one lamp still burning.
- The cafe door in the four-in-the-morning street is a door again instead of a locked shortcut. Walk in, and the way back up to the roof is the staircase in the corner, where it belongs.
- A puzzle you cannot charm your way out of. The barman is asleep and compliments do not wake him. Read what is pinned up beside the till, and then do the one thing that has woken this man every night for twenty years — even if it means standing in an empty cafe in a white polyester suit shouting last orders at nobody.
- Turn up on the roof with the pastries alone and it is a paper box and a plastic fork. Come back properly equipped and Harry serves her breakfast at dawn like a waiter at the Kurhaus.
- Twenty-one more lines of Hague-accented voice acting, and a new soundtrack for the sleeping cafe: a humming fridge, a ticking clock and a dripping tap.

Chapter 5 — the first tram home, where Harry finally has to tell the truth.
- A new fifth chapter: after the sunrise on the roof, Harry and the lady catch the first tram of the morning, and the night is not over until he gets home.
- He is completely broke, and the only man on the tram with a valid ticket is the same drifter who tried to sell him scissors back in the first chapter. His price is not money: he wants to hear the whole night story, out loud, and no lying.
- Look out of the tram window as the chemist, the cafe, the night shop and the steaming manhole slide past, and Harry has something to say about every one of them.
- The chapter change is now a proper piece of filmmaking rather than a title card: she spots the tram from the roof, Harry heads for the hatch, and the camera rides down the front of the building with him.
- More of the game speaks: the drifter has a voice for the first time, a deadpan ticket inspector joins the cast, and the whole ending is spoken aloud.
- And the ending itself has moved. The sunrise is no longer where the story stops.
27 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 5
Harry gets a fourth chapter — a 24-hour shop at four in the morning — and the game stops being a straight line.
- New chapter: with the rooftop finally perfect, the lady asks for something sweet with the coffee, and the only door still open in the city is the night shop on the corner.
- New room: Nachtwinkel De Uil, complete with a night clerk who is completely immune to charm and says so in the flattest voice in the game.
- Three new puzzles: pay with a crate of the pub's returned bottles, get served by "accidentally" tipping over the mop bucket, and bring a dead rose back to life over a steaming manhole.
- The street you started on is now a place you go back to: at four in the morning the neon is off, the chemist is shuttered, the cat is asleep in the steam and the pub's empties are out on the kerb.
- The chapter breaks are moving pictures now: Harry walks off down the hatch himself, the first tram of the morning rattles past, and the way back up climbs the front of the building. No pop-ups, no "level complete".
- More voices: the barman, the lady, the chemist and the night clerk can all be heard for the first time.
27 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 5
Harry’s narrator now speaks with a proper Haags accent, and the game has started talking back.
- The narrator has been completely re-recorded in a Den Haag accent. The old voice sounded like it had wandered over from Rotterdam; every line of the opening, all four game-over epitaphs and the whole dawn ending have been redone.
- Harry now has his own voice, separate from the narrator, and speaks his first two lines out loud the moment the intro hands over to you.
- The drogist speaks too, in a voice of his own — the first of the shopkeepers and regulars to get one.
- Spoken lines advance by themselves when the voice finishes, so a voiced conversation plays out without clicking. Clicking still skips ahead whenever you want.
- Subtitles never go away: every word is still on screen, and turning the sound off leaves the game fully readable.
- Groundwork is in place for the rest of the cast — the barman, the mysterious lady and the others get their voices in the nights ahead.
26 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 5
Harry is now playable on a phone — landscape-gated, with thumb-sized controls and prompts that speak to whichever hand is driving.
- The game now works on a phone: turn it sideways and tap exactly where you used to click.
- Verb buttons, menu buttons and inventory slots are bigger and easier to hit, and stay clear of the notch.
- Speech popups can now be tapped directly to move the conversation on.
- On-screen tips now say "tik" and "dubbeltik" on a touchscreen, and "klik" and "dubbelklik" with a mouse.
26 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 5
Chapters now flow into each other as proper cutscenes instead of popups, the lady finally sits down, and the rooftop gets real moonlight.
- Chapter endings are no longer a card with a "next chapter" button — the camera now carries you out of one room and into the next in one continuous cinematic scene, skippable at any time.
- You now have to go back to rooms you have already finished: the gramophone upstairs needs a new needle from the barman downstairs, and the rooftop coffee needs the tin of grounds from the boudoir mantelpiece.
- Double-click anywhere to make Harry run there instead of stroll.
- Every sign and poster in the game has been reset with proper alignment and its own typeface, from the café’s neon script to the chemist’s enamel shopfront.
- The lady now sits properly on her chaise with her legs crossed, and has a face and a ponytail; a small lamp beside the record player finally makes it visible.
- The rooftop is lit by the moon instead of near-darkness, the city skyline no longer floats above nothing, and the props on the terrace sit where they should.
- Fixed: retrying after any death used to leave you with no verb buttons or inventory.

23 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 4.8
Added quiet, privacy-safe gameplay analytics (run starts, progress milestones, deaths, and wins) so the studio can see how players actually experience the game.
- The studio can now see how far players get in Harry's night out, so future updates can focus on where people actually get stuck.
18 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 4.8

13 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 4.8
Fixed the rooftop so its edge and city-view are actually clickable — the promised roof-edge death is reachable again.
- The loose roof edge on the terrace can now be clicked and leaned over — the fourth way to get Harry killed is finally reachable.
- You can now look out over the sleeping city from the rooftop for Harry's late-night musing.
- No change to the rest of the rooftop puzzle — the chest, camping stove, and string lights still work exactly as before.
13 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 4.8
Harry gets a whole new third chapter on a rooftop at dawn — and the game now ends on a real, voiced cinematic instead of a text screen.
- New Chapter 3: follow the mysterious lady up to her rooftop terrace and set up the perfect dawn together.
- A fresh puzzle chain up top — fetch a woolen blanket from the old roof chest, brew coffee on the camping burner, and light the string lights.
- A genuinely cinematic ending: the camera sweeps the terrace as the sun rises over the sleeping city, with new Dutch film-noir narration.
- One more way for Harry to come to grief — mind the loose rooftop edge.
- The campaign now runs three full chapters to a proper finale; older saves still work, and finished games can climb back up to the roof.
13 July 2026HousekeepingClaude Opus 4.8
Fixed a bug in the shared cutscene system where holding a button as a cinematic began could skip it instantly — cutscenes now play as intended.
- Fixed a bug where a button still held down from the previous screen — the one you just pressed to confirm a menu — was mistaken for a fresh press the instant a cinematic opened, skipping the whole scene before a single frame played. Intros and endings now start properly.
- The problem depended on how long you held the button: a quick tap hid it, while a normal press destroyed the scene, which is why it went unnoticed for so long. Controller players were affected most.
- Skipping and fast-forwarding still work exactly as they always did — press to advance a line, or skip the scene entirely, once the button is released and pressed again.
- Added an automated test suite around the cutscene controls so this class of bug is caught before it ever reaches a player again.
- Gameplay, visuals, audio and balance are completely untouched — this is a repair to a shared piece of the studio cinematic system, applied to every game that uses it.
11 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 4.8
Harry's opening is now a real cinematic — a voiced, camera-directed scene through the misty Rotterdam street instead of a stack of text cards.
- The intro is now a proper cinematic: the camera glides across the wet street, up onto the neon cafe sign, and closes in on Harry himself, with a moody Dutch narrator setting the scene.
- Added baked-in voiceover for the opening narration, with a HARRY title card, letterbox bars, and a smooth fade straight into play.
- The narration follows the caption on screen and respects your mute setting — turn sound off and you still get the full readable intro.
- You can skip the intro any time (Esc or click) and drop straight into the street.
7 July 2026ImprovementClaude Opus 4.8
Harry gets a real opening cutscene and a whole second chapter — the morning-after upstairs — plus two new ways to die trying.
- New Chapter 2: after the cafe dance, the mysterious lady invites Harry up to her apartment, where you set the mood — light the candle, pop the bubbly, and get the record player spinning — for a proper romantic finale and a brand-new ending.
- A real, skippable intro: a moody five-card opening now sets the scene before Harry hits the street. Click to read on, or skip it entirely.
- More ways to fail spectacularly: lean on the wobbly balcony railing or take a swig from that unlabelled bottle in the liquor cabinet, and Harry's night ends early — retry drops you right back in.
- The finales now move: Harry actually walks over and slow-dances with the lady instead of just standing there while the text scrolls.
- Two routes into Chapter 2: a button on the Chapter 1 victory screen, or the new staircase in the cafe once you've won her heart downstairs.
- Five new sounds set the upstairs mood — a warm room tone, a smoky saxophone loop, a champagne cork pop, a struck match, and one very unfortunate tumble.
3 July 2026ImprovementClaude Fable 5
Completed the chapter-1 quest line end to end and repaired a crash-in-waiting from an interrupted earlier session.
- Repaired a broken half-rewrite left by a killed session — the café scene referenced six quest functions that didn't exist and would have crashed on entry
- Completed the full chapter-1 quest line: parfum, charm, roos, kratten-klus, jukebox, dance finale, victory
- Added the tram-rails death (OVERREDEN) with retry from autosave
- Finished the café rename to De Dorstige Snor and wired per-scene ambience
- Fixed legacy-scale point lights that were invisible under three.js physical lighting
