Star Putt now keeps score of your best work — medals on every hole and a record book to show them off — and four awkward tees have been moved so a phone can actually take the shot.

  • Every hole you clear now earns a medal: ace, eagle, birdie or par, worked out from your best round on that hole. They show up right on the practice-range buttons, with a small chime the first time you earn a better one.
  • A new Record book on the main menu collects everything: your best full tour, your best round on each of the four courses, and how many medals you hold on each.
  • If you set a tour record before the tour grew, the record book now says so plainly instead of quietly hiding it.
  • Four holes — Event Horizon, Cross Current, Riptide and Long Fuse — used to have a perfect one-shot line you literally could not aim on a phone, because the pull-back went off the edge of the screen. Their tees have been nudged inward, and every hole in the game is now fully playable with a thumb.
  • The practice range and the main menu now lay themselves out properly on longer courses, so The Core Championship's eleven holes fit without crowding the buttons.

Star Putt's opening course becomes a real venue — a brand-new tenth hole, its own sky, and sinking a putt is finally an event.

  • A new hole joins The Galactic Open: The Layover, where no shot carries all the way to the cup. Land on a world — or on the moon orbiting it, which then carries you round — and play on from there. It is the first hole in the tour built around parking the ball rather than threading it.
  • Every hole on the opening course now tees off further into the field. On a phone the old corner tees made most of the winning lines physically impossible to drag; now the whole course can be played with your thumb inside the screen.
  • The Galactic Open has its own sky at last, a warm gold and rose dawn nebula, instead of borrowing the menu's backdrop. And the worlds stopped being clones: Asteroid Alley's rocks and ice moons are now genuinely different places rather than copies of two.
  • Sinking a putt is a moment. The ball spirals into the wormhole and the cup blows open in the colour of the venue you are playing, with a bigger celebration for a hole in one and the biggest of all for the last cup of a course, each with its own sound.
  • The tour is now 41 holes, par 158. Your old best-round record was for a 40-hole tour, so it retires and your first run through the new tour will be a new best — that is expected, not a glitch.

Sinking a putt is a moment now — the ball flashes, spirals into the throat and holds a beat — and the comet trail behind it finally tapers.

  • Sinking flashes, spirals the ball down into the hole over about a third of a second, and holds for a beat before the hole is scored.
  • Burning up or being devoured throws a velocity-aligned flare and a shock ring, and clears the trail behind you.
  • The game's first proper particle set — sparks, embers, shards and rings — drawn under the interface, so they no longer paint over the pause menu.
  • The comet trail is a smooth tapering ribbon tinted by speed, with an additive core, and the ball shears with its own velocity while keeping its true size.
  • The canvas is drawn at your display's true pixel density, so everything is crisper.
  • The nebula wash was pulled back so the course reads more clearly against it.
  • Hole layouts, gates, the goal glow and the ball's real radius are unchanged.

Touch controls brought back onto the studio’s shared input code.

  • Star Putt had been running a local fork of the shared touch/keyboard input code since early August. It is now back on the studio’s current version, so touch behaves the way it does in every other game in the catalog. Aiming, power and the putt itself are unchanged.

Star Putt's tour is complete — Course IV, The Core Championship, adds eleven new holes and takes the full tour to forty.

  • A fourth and final venue, The Core Championship: eleven holes cut into the crowded heart of the galaxy, with its own sky, its own gold colours and its own arrival cinematic.
  • These are the hardest tee-to-cup shapes in the game. One hole puts the cup back behind you. One walls it into a pocket with a single opening. One hangs it in the dead air between a black hole's pull and a pulsar's shove. One sends you through two warp gates in a row. The course closes on a par six.
  • No new hazards — everything here is built from the six forces you already know, arranged in ways the first three courses never tried.
  • The full tour is now forty holes across four courses, par 155, and the final scorecard shows all four courses side by side.
  • Tees on the new course sit further from the screen edges, so hard shots no longer need you to drag past the edge of the window — a real help on a phone.
  • The narrator has been re-recorded where the old lines were out of date, and the game's opening now names the whole competition The Galactic Tour, with The Galactic Open kept for the opening course.

Course III opens on the Rim's tour — ten holes where every trick you've learned has to work together.

  • Added Course III, "The Derelict Circuit" — ten new holes set in a wrecked-fleet graveyard, bringing the full tour to 29 holes across three courses.
  • Every hazard you've met now teams up: gates that fling you straight into a pulsar's shove, a black hole so wide only a gate gets you past it, and a finale that throws every trick at you at once.
  • New arrival cinematic and a new amber-nebula backdrop for the course.
  • Fixed the end-of-tour scorecard so all three courses' hole lists display cleanly.

Star Putt doubles in size — a whole second course, three new hazards, and a practice range where any hole is one tap away.

  • A second course, The Outer Rim Invitational: ten new hand-authored holes on the edge of known space, with its own sky and its own cinematic arrival.
  • Warp gates carry your ball across the hole keeping its exact line and speed, so a blocked cup suddenly has a route.
  • Pulsars push instead of pull — nothing can settle on one, so you have to round its shoulder to drop in behind it.
  • Black holes pull on your ball from anywhere on the hole, and swallow anything that touches them.
  • Three ways to play: the full 19-hole tour, a single course as a practice round, or the new practice range where you pick any hole and chase your best score on it.
  • Practice never touches your tour — play a course or replay a hole as much as you like, and Continue is still waiting on the hole you left.
  • The tour hands you a fresh sleeve of balls at each new course, and the final scorecard now shows both courses side by side with their own subtotals.
  • The narrator has been re-recorded for the bigger tour: nineteen holes, two courses, and a new champion title card at the end.

Star Putt is playable on a phone — pull back from the ball with your finger and let go.

  • Star Putt now plays on a phone: press the screen, pull back away from the ball and lift your finger to putt, exactly like the mouse drag.
  • Hold your phone sideways and the game fills the screen; upright it asks you to rotate and pauses your round until you do.
  • Mute and Menu are now thumb-sized on touch, and a Recall ball button appears while a shot is in flight (that's the R key, for phones).
  • A quick accidental tap no longer launches your ball, and every on-screen hint now says "tap" or "click" depending on how you're playing.

Star Putt now sends you off with a real cinematic — winning the Galactic Open is a directed victory scene, and running out of balls gets its own animated send-off.

  • Beat all nine holes and a camera-directed victory cinematic plays: the last putt curls into the wormhole in a shower of gold, a narrator crowns you Galactic Open Champion, then your full scorecard appears.
  • Run out of balls and you now get a short, moody game-over sequence — a storming sun swallowing your final ball — instead of a plain text panel.
  • New original voice-over narration on both the win and the game-over, matching the game's existing space-narrator, and it respects your mute setting.

Solar storms, a shorter aim preview and a real power meter make every putt a skill read again.

  • The aim guide now shows only about the first half of your shot and never reveals where it lands — reading the far side of a putt is the challenge again.
  • A clear power meter lets you deliberately choose how hard to hit; picking the right power now matters a lot more.
  • Suns have come alive with animated solar flares that lash out and vaporize your ball well beyond the surface — time your shot through the gaps between tongues.
  • Freighters and the odd UFO now drift across the holes, giving the galaxy some life (the UFO even fires a tractor beam).
  • More moons in play: Lunar Swing now has two counter-orbiting moons, and Asteroid Alley, Binary Suns and The Maelstrom gained orbiting moons for tougher, timing-based lines.

Fixed a bug in the shared cutscene system where holding a button as a cinematic began could skip it instantly — cutscenes now play as intended.

  • Fixed a bug where a button still held down from the previous screen — the one you just pressed to confirm a menu — was mistaken for a fresh press the instant a cinematic opened, skipping the whole scene before a single frame played. Intros and endings now start properly.
  • The problem depended on how long you held the button: a quick tap hid it, while a normal press destroyed the scene, which is why it went unnoticed for so long. Controller players were affected most.
  • Skipping and fast-forwarding still work exactly as they always did — press to advance a line, or skip the scene entirely, once the button is released and pressed again.
  • Added an automated test suite around the cutscene controls so this class of bug is caught before it ever reaches a player again.
  • Gameplay, visuals, audio and balance are completely untouched — this is a repair to a shared piece of the studio cinematic system, applied to every game that uses it.

Hole 3 is now a proper gravity-slingshot challenge, and the intro is a full cinematic with voiceover.

  • Hole 3 "Cold Shoulder" was rebuilt: two frozen giants now wall off the cup, so you cannot reach it in a straight line — you have to curl your shot around the first giant's gravity to drop it in behind the wall.
  • The old three-slide text intro is replaced by a cinematic opening: a camera sweeps across a living solar system with a title card and spoken narration.
  • The intro is fully voiced (original narrator), respects your mute setting, and can be skipped with mouse, keyboard, or a controller.
  • The game now opens on a "click to begin" title screen so the intro's sound plays properly from the first frame.
